Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s upcoming visit to Sambhal district in Uttar Pradesh holds significance as he is set to inaugurate the Shri Kalki Dham Temple. This event has garnered attention due to its association with Acharya Pramod Krishnam, who was recently expelled by the Congress party.

Krishnam, the chairperson of the Shri Kalki Dham Nirman Trust, invited PM Modi to lay the foundation stone of the temple. However, this invitation came just days before Krishnam’s expulsion from the Congress for “anti-party remarks.”

The inauguration ceremony, scheduled for Monday, is expected to be attended by several saints, religious leaders, and other dignitaries. PM Modi will also address the gathering during his visit to Uttar Pradesh.

In addition to the temple inauguration, PM Modi will launch over 14,500 projects across Uttar Pradesh, totaling more than ₹10 lakh crore, at the fourth groundbreaking ceremony in Lucknow. These projects span various sectors, including manufacturing, renewable energy, IT and ITeS, food processing, housing and real estate, hospitality and entertainment, and education, among others.

The event is anticipated to host approximately 5,000 participants, including industrialists, representatives of top global and Indian firms, ambassadors, high commissioners, and other distinguished guests. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Uttar Pradesh Minister for Industry Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi will also be present.

Furthermore, under the developmental projects, eight aspirational districts in Uttar Pradesh are set to witness the implementation of investment proposals worth ₹1.57 lakh crore. The aspirational districts programme, initiated by PM Modi in January 2018, aims to elevate living standards in backward districts. Bahraich, Balrampur, Chandauli, Chitrakoot, Fatehpur, Shravasti, Siddharthnagar, and Sonbhadra are the identified aspirational districts in Uttar Pradesh.
