This is the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G – Tecno’s major Mobile World Congress announcement. In typical Tecno fashion, it ships with many accessories – 3.5mm earbuds, a charger, USB cable, and a case.

The Pova 6 Pro has a mighty 6,000mAh battery and Tecno kindly pairs it with a powerful 70W charger. The case has color-matched rubber lines around the frame and the camera island cutout – a nice touch on Tecno’s part.

Being a Pova device, you can bet there are LED lights on the back – a circular light around one of the camera lenses, and a long Y-shaped light next to it. It’s called the Dynamic-Light Effect and it can be customized in different styles. The lights can also flash for calls, and notifications, during music playback, gaming, charging, or on all the time (sipping some of that battery).

Upfront, there’s a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate. The back has an interesting pattern design that catches light and reflects it in different shapes. It’s a nice look but the glossy finish is some of the most fingerprint and dust-attracting material we have ever had in the office. You’ll need to have a cloth on you to clean this device or stick it inside the case forever.

The Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G is zippy thanks to a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset and 12 GB of RAM. The phone runs Tecno’s functional HiOS on top of the latest Android 14.

Finally, a word on the cameras. There are three lenses on the back but the phone only uses its main camera – a 108MP imager that does double duty as a 3x unit. We’ll test its performance in detail in our full review.
