Motor neurons move a fly’s head in different directions depending on its starting posture

Motor neurons control the muscles and are therefore the only means through which the brain can move the body and interact with the world. The finding that motor neurons move a fly’s body differently depending on the current pose provides clues to the process that the brain uses to control the body.
