KDEC Ministries impacts youth, evangelism and MEA Churches across the region

DENVER Kasr el Dobara Evangelical Church (KDEC), the largest evangelical church in Egypt and the Arab world, will be attending the NRB 2025 International Christian Media Convention in Dallas, Texas, bringing an outstanding and unique perspective and conversation for media.

KDEC was founded in 1944 in Cairo, Egypt, and has numerous viable ministries, with a strong emphasis on evangelism, discipleship, youth ministry, and social media platforms that rival some of the best-known American mega-churches, and from a part of the world where Islam is still the number one religion.

Empowering the “local” church across the MEA region (Middle East and Africa) is a main focal point for KDEC achieved through discipleship, evangelism, and relief efforts. Initiatives like the “Days of Harvest” project in Egypt are a testament to their dedication, focusing on training church leaders to collaborate and serve their communities effectively. The result is a powerful synergy that revitalizes faith communities and promotes sustained growth and unity for churches in the MEA region.

KDEC’s youth ministry has over 3,000 youth in over 300 discipleship groups. Their “Mission of Christ” project empowers young believers to embrace evangelism and participate in the Great Commission. The project’s six-month journey combines education with actionable mission trips, nurturing a generation poised for transformative, faith-based change.

Additionally, the One Voice youth ministry event specifically targets the youthful contingent of the Egyptian church, drawing thousands of young believers together in a dynamic environment of prayer and worship. Nadar Maurice, KDEC Executive Pastor, said, “This gathering is more than just an event; it’s a movement aimed at empowering the younger generation, equipping them with spiritual fervor and leadership skills needed to ignite change within their local churches. By coming together in one voice, these young believers not only experience personal spiritual renewal but also carry back the spark needed to impart knowledge and energize their congregations, promoting a ripple effect of revival and growth.”

Additionally, KDEC has a strong missionary emphasis and presence in challenging areas, extending into some of the most difficult regions in Africa and the Middle East where the missionaries tackle a myriad of challenges — spreading the gospel while also providing necessary support and relief to communities in need.

Lastly, as the largest ministry in the Middle East and Africa, Marihan Elmaleck, KDEC’s Head of Strategic Partnerships, said, “Our digital outreach spans the entire MEA region, engaging a vast audience through thoughtfully produced content and it is pivotal to our ministry work and KDEC’s vision to reach a hurting world for Jesus. Our social media platforms are key in connecting with youth, women, families, and those from Muslim backgrounds.”

KDEC is a powerful beacon of light and hope in a hurting region of the world, relentless in its outreach efforts to bring the Gospel to the MEA region and support the church in many capacities. It is an exciting time for evangelism in the Middle East and KDEC is at the helm of a Great Commission movement.

KDEC’s Nadar Maurice and Marihan Elmaleck will be on-site at NRB 2025 to discuss KDEC, their ministry platforms, and what it is like to be the largest evangelical church in the Middle East and Africa.
