The Rolling Stones have won the golden gramophone for Best Rock Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards this evening. Their album Hackney Diamonds bested the Black CrowesHappiness Bastards, Fontaines D.C.’s Romance, Green Day’s Saviors, IdlesTangk, Jack White’s No Name, and Pearl Jam’s Dark Matter.

Accepting the trophy on the Rolling Stones’ behalf was Andrew Watt, the producer behind Hackney Diamonds. “Talked to Mick yesterday and he just wanted to say a big thank you to the Academy from the entire band,” he said. “For a little boy that grew up playing guitar, it was one of the most amazing experiences to be around those musicians.” Watt also shouted out the engineer who worked with him on Hackney Diamonds, as well as Pearl Jam, whose recent album, Dark Matter, he also produced.

Paramore’s LP This Is Why took home the Best Rock Album trophy at the 2024 Grammy Awards.
