The Smile have enlisted British producer James Holden and multi-instrumentalist (and sometime live Smile member) Robert Stillman to remix a pair of tracks from Cutouts. Listen to Holden’s take on “Don’t Get Me Started” and Stillman’s “Instant Psalm” below. The remixes come with Weirdcore-created visuals—described in a press release as “recycled video mixes.” The tracks will come out as a double-A side, 12″ single on March 28.
Since releasing Wall of Eyes and Cutouts last year, the Radiohead-adjacent trio has also released a three-track live 12″, now sold out, via Rough Trade late last year. Weirdcore made the original visuals for the remixed tracks, as well as for “No Words” and “Zero Sum.”
