“Fallen Saints: Tales of Blaze City” Puts You In An Immersive Comic Book Detective Mystery!
It may be 90 degrees outside in Southern California, but it’s still Fall. And that means we’re in Spooky Season! Halloween Haunts, massive mazes, and Spirit stores are popping up like invasive creepy cornfields. Another seasonal staple is Force of Nature’s “Fallen Saints” series, which each year brings a new immersive tale to North Hollywood.

This year’s offering is “Tales of Blaze City,” a SIN CITY-esque immersive comic book, complete with extremely cool black-and-white characters and sets! The production has three tracks. But rather than tracks that you can veer off into during the show, there are three different showtimes. Each showtime has a different main character to guide you and a slightly different take on the story.

You can follow Lt. Markowski, the vigilante Black Jay, or Sketch as they introduce you to the Illustrator, who has lost control of his characters and whose comics are drained of their color. It’s up to them (and you) to explore Blaze City and to bring it back to The Illustrator. Each nightly performance of “Fallen Saints: Tales of Blaze City” weaves a unique story—and ending. Meet “Glow-Face” Lombardi, leader of the city’s seedy underbelly; screen legend Augustina; Bruno the Fantastical – who has deep-seated problems; and Doctor Redmond who shares a similar affliction.
Debuting in 2016, “Fallen Saints” has told “unflinching tales of the horrors that humanity inflicts upon itself.” Past episodes have included Jack the Ripper, The Salem Witch Trials, and Irish Vampires.
The visual aspect of the show is super fun and cool. If you’ve ever wondered how it would feel to be stuck in the “Take On Me” video by A-ha (if you’re… y’know, of a certain age) or a pulp detective comic book, you’ll have a great time.
Due to space, the shows are limited to 20 guests per show and involves standing, walking, and interactive participation. So wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
