LOS ANGELES, CA – November, 5th, 2025 The Pembroke Taparelli Arts and Film Festival (PTAFF) returns to Art ShareLA Downtown Los Angeles November 7–9, 2025 with the timely theme: “Championing Labor Justice Through Art and Film.” Now in its ninth year, PTAFF continues its mission to uplift underrepresented voices through artivism, providing a platform for independent filmmakers, designers, activists, and artists committed to equity and social transformation.

This year’s Opening Night features the critically acclaimed documentary “Union,”directed by Brett Story and co-directed by Stephen Maing, featuring Chris Smalls, labor organizer and leader of the Amazon Labor Union. The film offers a compelling look at modern-day labor movements and the people risking everything to change broken systems.

Panel 2: Labor Justice and the Future of Arts Advocacy
A deep dive into how creative communities can protect themselves. Featuring Carol Ann Shine, Sasheen R. Artis, and moderator Manny Jackson.
Panel 3: Unfair Labor Practices in Hollywood and Beyond
An unflinching look at below-the-line workers, wage gaps, and the looming threat of AI in film/TV. Panelists include Bruce Nahin, Re’Shaun Frear, Victor Brew, Desiree Dizard, Christopher Dion Johnson, and moderator Carol Shine.
Panel 4: Creators at Work – Navigating the Creator Economy and the Future of Labor
