Ellen Lloyd – AncientPages.com – Many Native Americans feel no need to be persuaded that the Little People exist; to them, their presence is simply a known reality. These small beings are described in different ways—spirits, magicians, fierce dwarves, fairies, or even devils—depending on each tribe’s traditional stories. Yet, they are regarded as every bit as real as humans. Some tribes say they remain in regular contact with the Little People, viewing them as helpful allies and wise protectors.
Although the Little People of Native American tradition have often been dismissed as mere myth, some researchers claim that burials belonging to these beings have been discovered. Still, no matter how many stories Native Americans share about encounters with these mysterious entities, their words are often discounted without what is considered solid physical proof.
This makes it all the more troubling when physical evidence that might support these traditions is reportedly found, only to mysteriously disappear later and never be found again. It raises a difficult and thought-provoking question: why would anyone conceal or remove evidence of such a fascinating race, one that, according to many myths and legends, may have walked the Earth long before many of the civilizations we readily acknowledge today? Might a significant dream shared by a Native American chief offer a few more clues and help shed some light on this intriguing mystery?
