Under the new plan, two corridors will link Lajpat Nagar to G Block in Saket and Inderlok to Indraprastha. The combined length of the project will be approximately 20 km.
The two corridors of Delhi Metro Phase-IV will entail a total project cost of Rs 8,399 crore, it was announced.
There will be about 8.4-kilometer metro line from Lajpat Nagar to Saket G Block. It will have eight stations. The second is from Inderlok to Indraprastha, this will be a metro line of about 12.4 kilometres. It will be completed by March 2029.
The approval for the project comes just days before the dates for the Lok Sabha elections are announced.
The Cabinet also gave its nod to the MoU between India and Bhutan for general supply of Petroleum, Oil, Lubricants (POL) and related products from India to Bhutan.The Cabinet also approved Inter-Governmental Framework Agreement India and United Arab Emirates on cooperation for the empowerment and operation of the India-Middle East Europe Economic Corridor.Besides, an MoU between India and Bhutan on co-operation in the field of Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation Measures also got the green light.
