Let’s get this out of the way now. For anyone who read my review for Tell Me Lies Season 2 Episode 7, I had no idea someone was actually going to die!

I was as shocked as everyone else! There was so much that happened in this finale that it’s hard to keep track of who’s life is on fire and who’s isn’t.

Suffice it to say, Tell Me Lies Season 2 Episode 8 dropped nuclear bombs on the story. Not everyone is walking away unscathed.

However, there is one character who deserves the title of MVP of Tell Me Lies Season 2. This girl put in the work, and she came out on top. I can’t wait until Stephen finds out.

Diana Did The Damn Thing As The Only Character To Screw Over Stephen Successfully

I’m talking, of course, of my girl Diana (Alicia Crowder)! She played everyone in a beautiful symphony of lies and misdirection. Oh, I can barely say how satisfying that was to watch.

Not only did she trick Stephen into thinking she failed her LSAT and was cut off by her father, but she screwed that psychopath’s chances at becoming a lawyer.

And she did it by making him think he was the one breaking up with her! I knew Diana was too brilliant to fall for Stephen’s BS forever. It’s just like she told Stephen when she looked him in the eyes and said, “There’s nothing behind them, is there?”

Of course, that means Diana will have to come back for the next season. We have to see how Stephen takes this news!

Diana may have had that slap coming in Tell Me Lies Season 2 Episode 6, but she’s still the most intelligent chick at Baird University!

Sadly, we did not get to see Pippa and Diana share an intimate moment this season, but we still have the future to look forward to.

Although, Bree’s wedding looks like it’s about to be ground zero for an apocalypse.

Tell Me Lies Should Be Retitled To Keep Your Mouth Shut

Despite being in the most boring affair all season, Bree and Oliver managed to have a wildly toxic ending to their arrangement.

First, Oliver (Tom Ellis) is a SICK individual. I can’t believe he let Bree think they were sneaking around, only for her to find out he is in an open marriage! Something in that man’s head isn’t clicking.

The killing blow was when Oliver told Bree that he and his wife talked about her. I know she asked, but he could’ve softened the blow. He didn’t give a crap about her.

As much as I would love to see Bree and Evan together again, I need that handsome idiot to get a clue.

He’s utterly oblivious to Stephen’s manipulations. Evan (Branden Cook) never should’ve told Stephen about him and Lucy hooking up. The poor guy even asked Stephen if he was going to use it to ruin his life.

How demented must Stephen be to wait seven years to send Bree, on her wedding day, the recording of his and Evan’s conversation? All that just to hurt Lucy?

Lucy And Stephen Are As Toxic As A Nuclear Power Plant. Those Two Deserve Each Other.

Don’t even get me started on Lucy. I cannot believe she slept with Stephen before reconciling with Leo and sleeping with him, too! Girl, you are messy!

First, she should’ve bathed in bleach after sleeping with Stephen. God only knows what that devil in a flesh suit has been up to.

Secondly, Lucy didn’t deserve Leo (Thomas Doherty). She’s too toxic, immature, and judgmental. I’m especially mad at the character for getting Leo pulled off Stephen.

How cathartic was watching Leo pulverize Stephen’s face? I don’t care if it was violent as hell. Stephen has been needing his ass kicked for a LONG time now.

It wasn’t enough because the sociopath smiled when Lucy came to his aid! The bastard is evil and belongs on a different show.

The way Stephen (Jackson White) stares at people and stalks them is very Michael Myers, but worse because Michael doesn’t try to ruin your life before he kills you.

Anyway, back to Lucy. She is paving a path of destruction all the way to 2015. I don’t know what’s happening in Stephen or Lucy’s head, but those two idiots can have each other.

Tell Me Lies Season 2 Paved A Rough Road For Its Characters Should The Series Be Renewed

Now we get to the most shocking part of Tell Me Lies Season 2 Episode 8, Drew’s death. Again, I was making a passing speculation when I previously said that someone could be dead before the season was over.

I never, in a million years, would’ve thought the writers would bring Drew back just to kill him off! The writers for Tell Me Lies are sick geniuses.

And poor Wrigley! What are the hands behind the series doing to that big, beautiful boy? He went from being superfluous to one soul-crushing moment after another.

When Wrigley (Spencer House) woke up next to his brother, the waterworks were on full blast. My jaw hit the floor and stayed there.

When Wrigley and Drew were drinking and popping pain pills at the bar, I thought something bad on the stupid side might transpire. I certainly didn’t see death on the menu!

The only saving grace is that Wrigley seems genuinely happy in the future. He was all smiles as he chatted with Lucy about Pippa (Sonia Mena) and Diana being together.

This season of Tell Me Lies started with solid themes of hope and possibilities. It’s sad to think half the characters have rough roads ahead of them.

Between Pippa’s assault, Lucy (Grace Van Patten) spiraling, Wrigley at the end of his rope, Bree (Catherine Missal) caught up in a weird open marriage arrangement, and Stephen taking every moment to mess with Lucy, Tell Me Lies Season 2 has been a roller coaster of emotions.

I’ll give the series the credit it deserves. The writers know how to spin one hell of a finale cliffhanger.

Whether or not Tell Me Lies comes back for another season, I will always remember how incredible the storytelling has been.

It takes expert plotting to make the petty lives of young college kids as enthralling as Tell Me Lies does. See you all next semester!

What are your thoughts on Stephen and Lucy from college and Bree’s wedding?

How do you think Bree will react to Stephen’s voice note in the future?
