Sabrina Carpenter has won Best Pop Vocal Album for Short n’ Sweet at the 2025 Grammys. She won the award for the first time, ahead of her competitors Ariana Grande (Eternal Sunshine), Billie Eilish (Hit Me Hard and Soft), Chappell Roan (The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess), and Taylor Swift (The Tortured Poets Department).
“Hello. I’m still out of breath from the performance, so I really was not expecting this,” Carpenter began her acceptance speech. “And, all those nominees that were just on the screen are some of my favorite artists in the world.”
Carpenter continued, “This is, woo, my first Grammy, so I’m gonna cry. I—I wrote names, so I wouldn’t forget, on this napkin… but thank you to the Recording Academy for having me and having everyone here tonight in celebration and in honor of everything that’s happened. I feel so lucky to be able to come together and do something so special and beautiful and celebrate music. I want to thank all the fans that let my music be heard by the Recording Academy. I want to thank my mom for driving my to every voice lesson.”
Carpenter performed her album’s “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” at the Grammys ceremony. She won Best Pop Solo Performance, for “Espresso,” earlier in the day.
