Kim Deal has enlisted Richard Ayoade to direct and star in the video for Nobody Loves You More track “Big Ben Beat.” The recursive short film also features looped and fragmented scenes involving Deal, Savages’ Fay Milton, and Ayoade’s own family. Watch it go down below.
Ayoade, who directed the Breeders’ “Spacewoman,” back in 2018, recruited his go-to cinematographer, Erik Wilson, who also worked on The Double and Submarine, for the video. Ayoade said in a press release that Deal “has few equals—the starting point of her work is genius. And then it goes up from there.”
Deal pre-empts an imminent run of tour dates tomorrow with a show in Cincinnati. She touches down in London for a standalone show on March 1 before returning stateside to kick off the tour proper.
