The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA), Performing Arts Division, presents the fourth annual Lunar New Year Celebration, featuring activities taking place from January 18 to March 1, 2026.
This year celebrates the Year of the Horse, and festivities include Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese culturally-specific dance, food, and arts festivals, film screenings, live theater, street fairs, parades, and storytelling. Lunar New Year celebrations mark renewal, continuity, and collective identity across many Asian cultures and diasporas. DCA brings these programs to the public through close collaboration with community partners to highlight the diversity of traditions observed in Los Angeles. Bring your family and friends to enjoy these joyous community gatherings. All events are free and open to the public.
